1. Introduction

Welcome to EcoSolar Zimbabwe ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (ecosolar.co.zw) and any solar installation, supply, or consultation services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our website or services.

2. Our Services

  • Solar installation – residential, commercial, agricultural, and mining systems.
  • Solar equipment supply – panels, inverters, batteries, and mounting hardware (wholesale and retail).
  • Consultation & site assessments – tailored system design and energy audits.
  • Maintenance & support – ongoing monitoring, repairs, and warranty services.

All services are subject to availability and are provided with reasonable skill and care in accordance with industry standards.

3. Quotes & Orders

3.1 Quote Validity

Any quote provided by EcoSolar Zimbabwe is valid for 14 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on the information you provide at the time of request; any changes to your requirements may affect the final price.

3.2 Order Acceptance

An order is only binding once we have confirmed it in writing (via email or formal proposal). We reserve the right to reject any order for any reason, including technical feasibility or availability of equipment.

3.3 Pricing

Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) and exclude applicable taxes, customs duties, and delivery charges unless explicitly stated. We strive to keep pricing accurate, but errors may occur. In such cases, we will notify you and offer you the option to proceed at the corrected price or cancel your order.

4. Installation & Site Preparation

4.1 Site Assessment

Before installation, we require a site assessment to confirm structural suitability, shading, and electrical compatibility. You must provide safe access to the installation area and disclose any known hazards or restrictions.

4.2 Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Obtaining all necessary permits, consents, and approvals from local authorities, homeowners' associations, or other relevant bodies.
  • Ensuring the installation site is clear of obstructions and safe for our team to work.
  • Providing access to electricity and water (if required) during installation.
  • Notifying us of any underground services, pipes, or cables that may affect installation.

4.3 Installation Timeline

We will provide an estimated timeline for your installation. While we aim to complete work within the agreed timeframe, delays may occur due to weather, equipment availability, or unforeseen site conditions. We will keep you informed of any changes.

5. Equipment & Warranties

5.1 Product Warranty

All solar equipment supplied by EcoSolar Zimbabwe comes with manufacturer warranties. These vary by component and are provided directly by the manufacturer. We will assist with warranty claims where applicable but are not directly liable for manufacturing defects.

5.2 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 12-month workmanship warranty on all installations, covering defects in installation workmanship. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, unauthorised modifications, or environmental factors beyond our control (e.g., lightning strikes, flooding).

Important: To maintain your warranty, you must follow the system operation and maintenance guidelines provided at handover. Failure to do so may void your warranty.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Deposit

No deposit is required to place an order unless otherwise agreed in writing. If a deposit is agreed, the amount and terms will be specified in your written quote or invoice.

6.2 Payment Methods

We accept bank transfers, cash, and mobile money payments. Payment details will be provided on your invoice. All payments must be made in US Dollars (USD) or the equivalent in Zimbabwean dollars at the prevailing rate.

6.3 Late Payment

If payment is not received within the agreed timeframe, we reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or cancel your order.
  • Charge interest on overdue amounts at a rate of 2% per month (or the maximum allowed by law).
  • Recover any legal costs incurred in collecting outstanding payments.

7. Cancellation & Refunds

7.1 Customer Cancellation

You may cancel your order within 7 days of placing the order for a full refund of any payments made. After this period, if equipment has been procured or installation has commenced, cancellation charges will apply.

7.2 Our Right to Cancel

We may cancel an order if:

  • We discover that the site is unsuitable for installation.
  • Equipment is no longer available and we cannot source a suitable alternative.
  • You breach these Terms or provide misleading information.

In such cases, we will refund any payments you have made, minus reasonable costs incurred.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • EcoSolar Zimbabwe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or equipment.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.
  • We are not responsible for third-party claims, losses, or damages caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (e.g., fire, floods, strikes, power surges, or theft).

Nothing in this clause limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
